Alex grew up going to church in London until his early teens, which laid the foundation for understanding God later in life. Learning about Jesus early helped him steer clear of much of the trouble that can come with city youth, something he remains deeply grateful for.

His real step into faith came after a chat with an older teen on his estate who said, “whatever you do, be real.” The words lingered, sparking a question about why he called himself a Christian without truly living it. That same week, a fortunate bike crash kept him home from school, where time spent researching Christianity led him to genuine belief.

He studied Computing in Norwich for two years before realizing it wasn’t his path, though he valued the change of scenery. Later, he fulfilled a childhood dream working in a bike shop — first in sales, then as a mechanic.

Alex is serving as verger and in his downtime enjoys coding, walking and playing games with friends to relax.
